DEFINITION OF PACKAGING
Our factory is engaged in the production of cardboard
containers. We decided to write what is the difference between packaging and
packaging.
Definition of terms
Packaging is a complex of various means by which the safety
of cargo from damage and, at the same time, protection from environmental
pollution is carried out.
The container is the most basic element of the packaging in
which the goods are placed.
As you can see, when you read the definition, you get the
understanding that packaging is a broader concept.
Example 1
Cardboard box with a bottle of cognac. The most basic
element, in this case, is a glass bottle, which refers to the concept of a
container. A corrugated box, plastic wrap, and the bottle itself refer to the
concept of product packaging.
Example 2
For clarity of understanding, I will give one more example:
The slitter-cutting machine for the production of corrugated
boxes during the transportation is packed in stretch film, covered in some places
with cardboard sheets, and completely placed in a wooden crate (wooden box). All
of the listed funds refer to the concept of packaging goods, and the wooden
crate refers to the concept of packaging.
Example 3
And just in case, one more example:
The liquid crystal monitor is packed in a corrugated
cardboard box, wrapped in plastic wrap, and lined with special foam cushioning
forms. All this is called the custom packaging of the TV, and the cardboard box, which
is the main element of the packaging, is called the container.
You can see additional information on the page containers
and packaging of goods.
I tried to describe in detail what is the difference between packaging and containers. If you suddenly need custom cardboard boxes, then call us by phone.
We must be clear about what packaging is and how it differs
from packaging. The first deals with the procedure to prepare the cargo most safely in transport or storage and is more oriented towards logistics.
While the container refers to the
container that contains, protects, and performs the commercial presentation of
the merchandise, that is, the disposition of the product for sale and, in this
case, it is oriented towards marketing and is in direct contact with the
product.
in the structure of the packaging, we can differentiate three
levels; primary, secondary, and tertiary. The primary packaging is the one that
is in direct contact with the product, the secondary one is the one that
contains one or more primary packages, and the tertiary is the one that groups
and unifies the previous ones in a container to protect them during the
distribution process.
Types of packaging materials
Taking into account the needs of each object, we can have
different materials to choose the correct packaging:
Paper packaging
It is often used as a cover inside other packagings such as cardboard boxes, bags, or jars. We offer product protection against external elements such as light, dust, stains, or part of the humidity of the environment. It is a flexible format, 100% natural, and more resistant than other papers thanks to the fact that it preserves the natural fiber of the wood. Some examples might be envelopes, bags, or kraft paper itself.
